How We Can Help You

At Remove A Pool Virginia, we provide you with pool removal in Northern Virginia that is cost effective and beneficial to your needs. Our team is specifically equipped to handle the process of pool removal in our area, including meeting all code requirements of the process. We use methods to help you to get rid of your unwanted pool in no time.

  1. Free Consultation – Our owner or team will come to your property, assess the area and the pool’s condition, and then discuss your plans for the area with you. Once that’s done, they’ll give you an estimate.
  2. Permits & Paperwork – Once you approve the project estimate. We will go to local government office to get the right permits and paperwork we need for the job. All you need to do is wait for us to call you so we can proceed to the project.
  3. Draining & Disconnection – Before we begin any demolition, our first step is to pump out all the water and disconnect all the utilities. We need to make sure that we follow the safety standards so that we avoid accidents and everyone will be safe.
  4. Pool Demolition – Once the pool is completely drained and all the utility connections are disconnected, we will begin the demolition process based on the option you selected for the project.
    1. Full Removal: The entire structure, including the pool walls, floor and decking, will be broken up and removed. The concrete, rebar and other materials will be hauled away, leaving behind a completely empty space.
    2. Partial Removal: Only the top few feet of the pool walls are broken down, and holes are made in the bottom of the pool to ensure proper drainage. We will fill it with dirt, gravel and some stuff from the pool. (We don’t recommend this option if you plan to build something big on the area later.)
  5. Clean-Up & Waste Removal – We will load all debris, including concrete, metal, pipes, and etc. into our dump truck and dispose of it properly. We will make sure that we follow the local regulations.
  6. Backfilling & Compacting – We fill the empty space with clean dirt and gravel for backfilling and compacting. We make sure to compact each layer so that the ground remains solid and doesn’t sink over time. This is critical if you’re thinking about building on the area where the pool used to be. (We never had a sinking issue in full removal ever since, even on partial removal we didn’t have any issues as of now. That’s why we do not recommend it, because there’s a possibility.)
  7. Leveling, Grading & Final Cleanup – We’ll make sure to double check the compaction, and after that we will grade the area and level it again. We want to make sure that everything is done right to avoid issues in future and we want to make sure that the area remains stable. After that, we clean up the site for whatever was left in the area, and make sure your space is ready to go.
  8. Repurposing the area & Landscaping – As we discussed at the start, there’s an option to repurpose the area. We’ll go with whatever you decide for the space. (Note: We provide a variety of landscaping options, including patio construction, grass seeds, and more. If you’re planning to add this feature late, please reach out to one of our team members or give us a call.

After the job is completed, our owner or a project manager will come by to ensure that everything meets your satisfaction and that the site is safe and ready for whatever comes next.
